As mega vessels become the standard , Port Houston ’ s infrastructure is designed and ready to accommodate ships of 15,000 TEUs at Bayport by the end of 2024 . Additionally , Bayport recently welcomed its largest vessel on record , the CMA CGM Cassiopeia . With a capacity of 11,356 TEUs , a length of 1,188 feet and a width of 150 feet , the ship is a testament to the port ’ s expanding capacity .
