Containerized US imports from Asia, in laden TEUs, January-April 2025 vs. January-April 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 The Journal of Commerce Top 15 trans-Pacific container lines carried 98.9 % of the 6.4 million TEUs in US imports from Asia in the first four months of 2025, a volume increase of 11.2 % year over year and 1.8 % from January through April 2021. The top 5 carriers accounted for 63.7 %( 4.1 million TEUs) of the eastbound trans-Pacific trade through April, down from 65.5 %( 3.8 million TEUs) in the same 2024 period.

The top 5 carriers accounted for 68.2 %( 1.2 million TEUs) of the westbound trans-Pacific trade through April, down from 71 %( 1.3 million TEUs) in the same 2024 period.
