SeaCube Cold Solutions, a national investor in refrigerated equipment, has acquired Southern California-based Martin Container, a portable cold storage container company serving the West Coast.
Although financial terms were not disclosed, the move can be put into context as SeaCube aims to create a better connected and responsive cold storage network for customers across the US.
Launched in 2025, SeaCube provides refrigeration solutions to shippers and logistics operators in the agricultural, pharmaceutical, restaurant and festival industries.
“ This acquisition enhances both scale and regional strength,” SeaCube SVP James Armstrong said in a statement.“ Martin’ s long-standing reputation and operational depth complement our growing national platform.”
Demand for portable cold storage continues to rise across the Southwest and Pacific Coast regions. Martin’ s headquarters near the Los Angeles-Long Beach port complex is now integrated into SeaCube’ s depot and transportation network, providing faster delivery to customers and improved regional coverage, according to the statement. Martin has a number of asset locations throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.
