As supply chains become more volatile and financing costs rise, shippers are turning to freight payment specialists to help them achieve tighter control over cash flow, payment timing and accrual accuracy. Additionally, businesses are increasingly asking their freight audit and payment providers to do far more than
identify billing errors and settle carrier invoices.
Exacerbated cases of fraud, increasingly complex and countless accessorial charges, and ongoing tariff uncertainty are forcing companies to scrutinize freight spending more closely. This is accelerating a shift toward an audit and payment model that integrates
invoice validation, payment execution and reconciliation into a unified financial workflow.
In a more volatile global environment, clients are placing greater emphasis on operational resilience and global coverage, said Ron Griswold, director of technology enhancement at nVision Global.
