Containerized US imports from Asia, in laden TEUs, January-April 2025 vs. January-April 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 The Journal of Commerce Top 15 US ports by imports from Asia handled 99.1 % of the 6.4 million TEUs in US imports from Asia in the first four months of 2025, a volume increase of 11.2 % year over year and 1.8 % from January through April 2021. The top 5 US ports accounted for 76.8 %( 4.9 million TEUs) of the eastbound trans-Pacific trade through April, up from 74.9 %( 4.3 million TEUs) in the same 2024 period.

The top 5 US ports accounted for 66.3 %( 1.12 million TEUs) of the westbound trans-Pacific trade through April, up from 64 %( 1.13 million TEUs) in the same 2024 period.
