Q : Looking ahead , what are some of the future plans for the Port of Vancouver ?
A : We have a lot of strategic advantages ; I think that ’ s well known . However , we have had some challenges that were known , as well , such as labor disruptions , climaterelated hazards , the need for increased capacity and infrastructure , and how to support the industry in becoming more sustainable . I want to re-emphasize that we have a solid plan to ensure Vancouver is a very competitive gateway to do business with , and our leadership is always working toward that goal . It ’ s not just about how big we are now ; it ’ s all about the future and what we are doing to make that happen . n happening overall because the majority of the cargo is serviced by the rail network .

At the center of a fully integrated rail , road and pipeline network , the Port of Montreal is the only destination port on the North American loop .
