Containerized US imports, in laden TEUs, and market share, Jan.– Sept. 2025 vs. Jan.– Sept. 2021, 2023 and 2024 The Journal of Commerce Top 40 Container Carriers in US export trades carried 99.7 %( 8.67 million TEUs) of the 8.69 million TEUs in total US export volumes in the first nine months of 2025, up 2.2 % year over year and 3.9 % from 2022. The top 5 carriers accounted for 64.7 %( 5.6 million TEUs) of US exports through September, up 8 % from the same 2024 period and 8.7 % from 2022.
