Containerized US imports, in laden TEUs, and market share, Jan.– Sept. 2025 vs. Jan.– Sept. 2021, 2023 and 2024 The Journal of Commerce Top 40 Container Carriers in US import trades carried 99.8 %( 21.35 million TEUs) of the 21.4 million TEUs in total US import volumes during the first nine months of 2025, up 3.3 % year over year and 0.6 % from 2022. The top 5 carriers accounted for 60.6 %( 12.96 million TEUs) of US imports through September, up 0.9 % from the same 2024 period but down 6.1 % from 2022.
